The app may process SMS message text, sender or recipient address, timestamps, thread identifiers, read and starred state, outgoing state, links, extracted fields, categories, local corrections, OTP values, transaction and bill details, reminder details, contact display names when enabled, SIM information when requested, diagnostic records, preferences, and files or text received through Android Share Target.
When the app is the device's default SMS application and the relevant Android access is granted, it can read existing SMS, receive incoming SMS, and send SMS. Incoming and outgoing messages may be copied into the local database so conversations can be displayed, searched, categorized, and synchronized with the Android SMS provider where supported. Android role and permission checks apply.
Message text is processed on the device by the app's rules and extraction pipeline. It can identify categories, merchants, amounts, dates, references, and other fields. Automated extraction and categorization can occasionally be incorrect. Verify important financial, security, and reminder information against the original message or relevant provider.
OTP messages may be stored in local OTP history and follow configured retention behavior. Transaction and finance fields are stored locally for finance views. Bill and reminder details are stored locally and may schedule local reminders. These features do not make the app a bank or financial adviser.
The app can show local notifications, schedule exact reminder alarms, reschedule work after boot, and run native background synchronization or SMS maintenance through Android WorkManager and related components. Background processing uses the local database and device services; delivery depends on Android settings and battery policy.
Contact name resolution is optional. If enabled, the app requests READ_CONTACTS and reads contact names and phone identifiers to display names instead of raw numbers and cache them locally. READ_PHONE_STATE may be requested for SIM selection and dual-SIM features.
Android Share Target can receive text and file content from another app. Shared text and file metadata or locally readable copies may be shown and saved in the app. Attached files are not sent as SMS by the app's share flow. Sharing to another app is controlled by Android and your explicit action.
The Drift database stores messages, conversations, categories, transactions, reminders, OTP entries, contacts cache, scheduled messages, rules, and diagnostics on the device. It is configured with SQLite3MultipleCiphers. Its key is generated locally and stored through Android Keystore-backed secure storage. Non-sensitive preferences such as theme and language use SharedPreferences. Available app controls can delete supported records; Android provider data and exported or shared files may require separate deletion. The app has no account or server-side deletion workflow.
You can deny or revoke Android permissions, leave the default SMS role, disable notifications, change reminder and contact settings, delete supported records, and remove exported files. Revoking a permission can disable the related feature. Android also controls alarms, battery restrictions, and notification channels.
The implementation uses local database protection and Android Keystore-backed storage for the database key. These measures do not guarantee security in every device or operating-system condition. Device access, screenshots, backups, exported files, other apps, and Android security settings remain relevant.
The release Android manifest removes INTERNET permission. No analytics, advertising, Firebase, Crashlytics, Sentry, or server synchronization client was found in the implementation audited for this policy. The app can hand ordinary message links to another app after your explicit action, and you can explicitly share backups or content using Android. Those actions may send data outside the app under your control.
The app is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law. Do not use it to process a child's information unless you have the legal authority required in your location.
